LESSONS
This year, lessons run from Oct 16-May 31, which totals 33 weeks. Tuition is calculated based on 29 weeks and divided into 8 equal payments. The monthly fees stays the same regardless how many lessons are in that months. That gives us 3 Holiday weeks and 1 teacher floater week built into our schedule (at no cost to you).

  • Any credits issued throughout the year will be applied to your May invoice

PAYMENTS
Payments is due on or before the 1st of the month. If payment is going to be late, please contact me to make arrangements. Timely payments ensure your space in my Studio. I accept cash, e-transfers, and cheques payable to Tammy Page.

WITHDRAWAL FROM LESSONS
Signing up for lessons is based on a 1-year commitment. However, if you need to withdrawal from lessons, I require 1 month paid notice.  No cancellations after April 1st. Cancellations after April 1st will still be payable  unless I can find a replacement for your time spot. If your lesson time no longer works, you may inquire about switching times, however there are no guarantees.

CANCELLATIONS / MISSED LESSONS
Specific times are set aside for specific students – a student who does not attend a lesson will simply miss the benefits of that lesson. I will however use
that time to plan for the student’s progress, locate materials, and lesson plan. Please be assured your tuition is always working for your child as I spend a great deal of time outside of lessons choosing repertoire, planning, attending competitions & performances, recording songs etc.

If you need to miss a lesson, please let me know so I can use that time accordingly. Students who are scheduled for a make up lessons and do not show, forfeit that lesson.

Any lessons cancelled by the teacher will be made up or refunded.

Parents are encouraged and welcome to stay for the first lesson. However, beyond the first lesson, parents are asked to please refrain from staying inside during lesson time. Having an extra person in the studio often distracts from from learning. * Please note: If a parent wishes to stay for the first lesson, they will be required to wear a mask.

SICKNESS/ILLNESS
Students who are sick should remain home. This is especially important for the upcoming year as we try and loosen mask requirements. Germs can spread very easily in a small space when everyone touches the same surfaces. Remember, especially with the flu & covid, you are still contagious several days after you start to feel better.

Virtual lessons will no longer be available. However, students who are sick may inquire about a virtual option. If possible, it will take place in your assigned lesson time. * Since we are moving away from virtual, I won’t have songs pre-recorded or music scanned that I can send. Last minute requests will generally not be possible.

OTHER FEES
Voice students are responsible to pay for their own accompanist for such events as the NB Music Festival and RCM examinations. Also, 2 original copies of each song are required for these events. I typically can source 2 copies, but any extra music purchased will be billed to you.

*Students whose lessons fall on Halloween will have one less class for that particular year.

Special notes: Please be aware of the Studio’s No-Scent policy. This includes heavy perfumes, body odor, and stinky feet. This can be very unpleasant and distracting for both teacher and students.

Metal or Glass water bottles will no longer be allowed in the studio.

Covid Policies 2023-24:

Covid policies will remain relatively the same for 2023-24. I will periodically assess and loosen restrictions when possible. Piano students will continue to wear masks, and Voice students will continue to sing behind the room divider (no masks while singing). Students are encouraged to bring their own mask, if not, one will be provided for you.

While I’m hopeful we can move away from masking in the upcoming year, I can’t make that promise. I know most of my students are completely fine wearing a mask – but if anyone finds it too difficult, please let me know and I will assist you in finding another teacher.
